Beantown changed out a 12 year old water heater for a new one from the same manufacturer. Their two technicians, Ryan and Jay were very professional, skilled, helpful and calm throughout the project. The original exhaust pipes could not be re-used as codes had changed and the two service technicians had to creatively solve this problem. The resolution involved drilling a hole through the concrete4 foundation and exhausting the carbon monoxide into our courtyard. The job certainly took longer than they first anticipated, however, nevertheless Ryan and Jay remained pleasant, professional and upbeat. The price quoted stayed as the final price and the until is working perfectly. Great job.

We had a small leak in a copper pipe in the basement. Sean was thorough in identifying several pinpoint leaks in that pipe and how much of it actually needed to be replaced to prevent a more serious leak in the future. He also identified a couple of material options for replacing the pipe, explains the pros and cons of each. He was very courteous and professional. Did a nice job and we are very happy with the result.

Matthew was polite and professional. He quickly diagnosed the heat pump issue, then took the time to explain it to me. A little refrigerant later and we had heat. Just in time for the coldest days of the last three winters.

Booking online was super easy. I really appreciate the updates by email and text message.

Signs You Need a Plumbing Repair in Plymouth, MA

Sometimes, plumbing problems are obvious, like water pouring from a burst pipe. But often, the warning signs are subtle. Recognizing them early can prevent larger structural damage and costly repairs.

Here are some common signs it’s time to call for a plumbing repair in Plymouth, MA:

  • Slow Drains: If water lingers in your sink, tub, or shower, it could indicate buildup in your pipes or a deeper blockage in your sewer line.
  • Recurring Clogs: A clog that keeps coming back usually points to a bigger issue within the plumbing system. Professional diagnostics can identify and resolve the root cause.
  • Fluctuating Water Pressure: Sudden changes in water pressure can be caused by hidden leaks, pipe corrosion, mineral buildup, or water supply issues.
  • Unusual Noises: Banging, gurgling, or whistling sounds coming from your pipes are never normal. These noises may indicate trapped air, water hammer, or pressure problems within the system.
  • Water Discoloration: Brown or yellow water can signal corrosion inside your pipes or sediment buildup in your water heater. Discolored water should always be evaluated by a professional.
  • Rising Water Bills: If your water usage habits haven’t changed but your utility bills are increasing, you may have a hidden leak. Early leak repair in Plymouth, MA, can prevent ongoing water waste and costly damage.

When in doubt, call an experienced emergency plumber in the South Shore to assess the situation.
